SMG has a strong commitment to community and giving. SMG, its owners and employee team can regularly be found helping others in their personal and business endeavors.

The SMG commitment to giving includes humanitarian, environmental and educational causes round it out, with an emphasis on avalanche centers, snow safety, and support for local youth and food bank organizations.

Humanitarian causes come first — we support people and families in the small mountain towns we live and work in, and we regularly donate trips, gear and time to nonprofit fundraisers.

Environmental causes matter because this terrain is our workplace. SMG operates under special use permit on public land and is an equal opportunity service provider. Access to these mountains is a privilege, and we take our responsibility for them — and for the wildlife and communities around them — seriously.
